Who we train

Emergencies don’t make appointments. Your team can be ready anyway.

Healthcare

Certification courses for nurses, aides, techs and clinical staff who need to stay current.

Childcare

Child and infant CPR, choking response and first aid for daycares, schools, sitters and parents.

Corporate

On-site group training for salons, offices and small businesses that want a safer space for staff and clients.

Community

Churches, neighborhood groups and families. Anyone can learn to be someone’s first responder.

What you’ll learn

CPR training isn’t just about chest compressions.

You never know when you’ll be someone’s only chance. Classes cover the emergencies people actually face at home, at work and on the go.

  • CPR: adult, child, infant
  • AED use
  • First aid
  • Choking
  • Bleeding
  • Heart attack
  • Stroke
  • Poisoning
  • Medical emergencies

This heart beats at 110 per minute. That’s the pace of good chest compressions: 100 to 120 a minute, hard and fast in the center of the chest.

The reality of cardiac emergencies

When a heart stops, the clock starts.

350,000+

out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occur in the U.S. each year.

70%

of these medical emergencies happen at home or in the workplace.

7–10%

decrease in survival chances with every single minute CPR is delayed.

3–4 min

without oxygen and brain cells begin dying, and permanent damage can follow.

The worst CPR is the CPR that never starts.

You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to be willing. Every second counts when someone’s heart stops, and hands-only CPR can keep blood flowing until help arrives.

Health notes from Lana

Know the signs. Listen while your body whispers.

Heart attacks can look different in women

  • Unusual fatigue
  • Shortness of breath
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Back, jaw, neck or shoulder pain
  • Dizziness or lightheadedness
  • Sweating
  • Pressure, fullness or pain in the chest

Don’t wait for symptoms to get severe. When in doubt, call 911.

Hypertension, “the silent killer”

High blood pressure often has no warning signs, but it can lead to stroke, kidney disease and other serious complications. You don’t have to feel sick to be at risk.

  • Know your numbers with regular checks
  • Eat heart healthy and stay active
  • Take medications as prescribed

Don’t wait for your body to scream.

Get-ready kit: 5 things every home should have

  1. First aid kit
  2. Flashlight and extra batteries
  3. Water and nonperishable food
  4. Necessary medications
  5. CPR and AED knowledge

A prepared community is a stronger community.

Educational information only, not medical advice. Talk with your healthcare provider about your own health, and call 911 in an emergency.
